The right use depends on the material shape, gradation, cleanliness, and whether the job needs decoration, drainage, or compaction.

Coverage varies by rock size and target depth:

• Pea gravel (1/4" - 3/8"): about 120-140 sq ft per ton at 2" depth
• Medium river rock (1.25" - 1.75"): about 80-90 sq ft per ton at 2" depth
• Large river rock (2" - 4"): about 70-80 sq ft per ton at 2" depth

Larger rocks create more gaps between stones, requiring more material for full coverage. Order 10-15% extra when the area, depth, or edges are irregular.

Delivery is quoted from the nearest active supply point that stocks the product. This material is freight-sensitive, so it is usually best sold locally or regionally instead of on long hauls.

We focus on bulk delivery and transparent pricing. Delivered pricing is based on your ZIP code, the nearest supply point that stocks the product, and your order size. For large project quantities, request a custom quote for pricing and availability.

Our delivery trucks require adequate space to safely unload a full truckload (up to ~26 tons) of rock. Please ensure:

• Access: A clear path wide enough for a semi-truck or large dump truck (minimum 12 feet wide)
• Overhead clearance: At least 14 feet for power lines, tree branches, etc.
• Ground conditions: Firm, level ground that can support a fully loaded truck (up to 80,000 lbs)
• Dumping space: Enough room for the truck to raise its bed and dump (requires approximately 30 feet of overhead clearance when dumping)
